CHARITY AUCTION
Each year The Tauranga Gala Dinner invites a local charity along to raise funds and awareness via a live auction at the event. The 2021 charity recipient will be announced soon.
At The Tauranga Gala Dinner, 100% of the auction proceeds go to the charity's cause and has become a very important way for local organisations to raise funds. The Tauranga Gala Dinner provides this opportunity risk-free to the charity. We know this type of event is a great platform for charity's to host an auction, which also adds an extra element of excitement to the evening as well. There are always some incredible and usually-unattainable items or experiences up for grabs, which you won't find anywhere else. You could be lucky enough to be going home with a piece of history or a money-can't-buy adventure!
The charity auction is run separately from the commercial arm of the event, with all charitable funds and donations going to the charity.
COVID-19 RESPONSE
Events are safely able to operate under Level 1, but there is still work to do! Working alongside the team at Trustpower Arena, we will be ensuring that all safety advice will be followed at the event and making sure that our guests' wellbeing is front of mind. This may include hand sanitiser stations, regular cleaning of bathrooms and high-use areas, contact tracing protocols and other requirements that may come up prior to the event.
We also advise our guests to follow the below guidelines:

Follow hygienic cough and sneeze etiquette

Do not attend the event if you feel ill
If New Zealand's Alert Levels change, and previous restrictions around large events are re-introduced by the government in such a way that would cancel this event, then your booking will be fully refunded. Your peace of mind and wellbeing is of utmost importance to us.
